Hello
My name is Bryan Beresford Kelly and I was born and educated in Ireland.

It was late in life when I discovered my love of painting and the fact that I could actually do it and took on a studio at East Lodge, Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa. I now paint from my purpose-built studio at my home in Pershore.

I admire, and am influenced by, the work of many artists including Van Gogh, Gauguin, Pissarro and early 'Naive' artists such as Grandma Moses, Pippin, Hicks and Irish artist Markey Robinson.

I would describe my unique paintings as appealing more to the heart than to the head and hope they impart a 'feel-good' factor to you.

My Story
In the 1960s, I studied Garment Technology and Textiles at Leeds University and opened my first studio in Wexford, Ireland in 2007 working as a full time professional artist.

In September 2008, I accepted the invitation of a Residency at the prestigious world-renowned 'Cill-Rialaig Project' Artist Village, County Kerry, Ireland. At that time the 'Project' had received 250,000 applications.

In 2009, I received an invitation of a Residency in the beautiful, much sought after, world renowned, 'Cill Rialiag Artists Village' in Co Kerry, Ireland. At that time the organisers had received 250,000 applications. There were only six vacancies available at any one time, I accepted the invitation.

In 2017, my painting of 'The Red House' was the overall winner of The Rugby and District Annual Open Exhibition.

In 2018, my painting of 'The Fall', was selected and exhibited by Grayson Perry, curator of the yellow room at The London Royal Academy 250th Summer exhibition. The painting sold.

I do hope you enjoy viewing my 'Naive' paintings as much as I love painting them.
